FTB Skies 2 is a progression-focused skyblock modpack where players build up from a floating-island start through connected tech, magic, exploration, and automation challenges. Its resource generation centers on three complementary paths: Crystalmancy uses budding geodes, crystal transformation, and material synthesis; Cultivation combines Mystical Agriculture, Productive Bees, and fishing; and Prospecting turns Create and Create: Sifting machinery toward processing raw materials and uncovering resources. Players can specialize in one path or pursue all three, while a questbook of more than 1,000 custom quests offers turn-ins, exploration, observation, challenges, and boss objectives, with a reward shop that lets players choose rewards for their preferred build. The world features handcrafted floating islands with distinct biomes, dungeons, and secrets, and offers more than half a dozen starting islands, ranging from a simple dirt block and tree to the Amethyst Isles and steampunk-inspired Steamworks. Beyond modded systems, the pack reworks vanilla activities such as Piglin bartering and villager trading, adds custom wandering trades, and integrates mob farms, Happy Ghast mounts, and enchanting allays into progression. Character and combat progression draws on Pufferfish's Skills, Apothic Attributes, Relics, Curios, and jewelry, with spells, rituals, and technology supporting battles against bosses and elite mobs. The endgame goal is to conquer a reworked Feed The Beast Pyramid, a demanding structure that tests knowledge and automation across the pack's major content mods.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge, 12 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 24 Sep 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 437 of its 438 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
8 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 432 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 31 of the 352 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
80 mods are not checked yet.
2 mods can use AI in the game.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
