Comfortable Nether expands the Nether so players can gather food, build a base, and pursue substantial progression without relying on the Overworld. It adds more than 19 foods and 17 mobs, along with new blocks, tools, and content across the Nether’s biomes. New food sources include Soul Sand Valley Weeping Abscess, Basalt Deltas Dustsprouts, and Rhizome slices, while Strider Milk can be used in recipes or to extinguish players and mobs. The new creatures include the gravity-manipulating Flare, the underground plant-like Rhizome, the plant-processing Processor and its symbiotic Pleonex, and piglin traders and shamans. Each biome gains practical resources and hazards: for example, Crystalline Carbon in the Basalt Deltas can be smelted into diamonds, Withered Remains provide rare coal in the Soul Sand Valley, and Tangleweed poisons Nether pig variants in the Warped Forest. Survival and building gear includes Ghast-resistant Fortified Glass, Piglin Snouts for surviving deep in the Basalt Deltas, a Crying Mirror that returns its user to a Respawn Anchor, and decorative blocks such as Somberstone and animated Lava Lamps. Combat and exploration tools have distinct trade-offs and uses: the Fungus Bomb damages enemies without breaking blocks, the Baleen Pouch lifts and glides, the Soul Catcher traps weakened spirits, and the Hand Ballista inflicts Rupture but has a long reload. Spirit-based crafting is a major progression system: the Ethereal Table combines trapped spirits and items into new recipes, while the Ritual Table turns paired endgame items into upgrades such as the Greater Glutton and Traveler’s Pouch. An endgame boss encounter pits players against the Triplets, Bellator, Saltator, and Veneficus, summoned together in a prepared arena in the Basalt Deltas; defeating them rewards trophies, loot, and the Ritual Table. Other additions support Nether-focused crafting and trading, including Piglin Mogul trades and recipes that let players make items such as saddles, sticky pistons, and TNT from Nether resources.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.16.4 to 1.16.5.
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 142 blocks, 118 items, 20 mobs, 390 recipes, 7 loot tables, 77 sounds and 1 key binding.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.16.4 to 1.16.5.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.16.4 to 1.16.5.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. None is for a recent Minecraft version. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 4 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This lowers the grade by 7 points.
