Dragon Survival: Young Modpack is a dragon-focused survival collection built around exploring and surviving the world as a cave, forest, or sea dragon, rather than as a human adventurer. You can choose a dragon at the start using an altar, gaining wings and flight, along with innate claws and teeth that strengthen over time; becoming stronger and growing toward the third dragon stage requires crafting Elder Dragon Hearts from bones and dust found through exploration, combat, and mining. Each dragon has its own diet: sea dragons eat raw seafood, cave dragons eat charred food and charcoal, and forest dragons prefer raw meat, while human food can poison them. The world is designed for exploration across varied biomes, rich seas, dungeons, caves, the Nether, and the End, with additions including Dungeon Crawl, Dungeons Plus, BetterEnd, Oh The Biomes You'll Go, and YUNG's structures. Its wildlife includes farm animals for breeding through Genetic Animals, roughly 100 added sea-creature species from mods such as Fins and Tails, Aquaculture, and Odd Water Mobs, and dragons from Wyrmroost that can be allies or enemies. Survival also brings tougher, more capable enemies through additions such as Improved Mobs, Champions, MutantBeasts, and Progressive Bosses, while villages gain guards and new professions, task boards offer jobs, and kobold settlements can appear in caves. The pack adjusts how dragon-related materials are obtained: Elder Dragon bones and dust can come from treasure chests, bosses, bounties, water filters, and other sources, and dragon footprints are added.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.16.5 · Forge, 4 Apr 2022). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 13 Feb 2022 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 176 of its 177 projects, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (4 Apr 2022) in the 120 mods we checked.
10 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
52 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
