End Expansion: The Lamented Islands turns the End into an exploration- and RPG-focused endgame, with a progression of dungeons, resources, equipment, and major boss encounters that gives players new goals while retaining the dimension’s desolate character. The adventure begins around a greatly expanded, two-level Stronghold, whose maze-like rooms, library, portal chamber, and hostile spawners introduce the mod and provide a place to find its Guidebook. In the End’s base biome, players can explore the End Vaults for Pure Crystals and other loot, then climb the floating Lamented Islands, a city-like dungeon where the first major boss, the Lamentor, awaits. The Ash Wastelands add a fog-shrouded biome, dangerous underground caves and the maze-like Ashed Mines, where players encounter the Fell Household and seek resources such as Cordium and Lustrian crystals for stronger gear. Above ground, the optional Ashed Towers offer puzzles, parkour, traps, treasure, and possible mini-boss encounters; the progression culminates at the floating Ashed King’s Fortress, home to the second major boss. Combat is built around readable attack patterns and animations: enemies telegraph melee attacks toward where the player was moments earlier, so dodging around their strikes matters, while enemies recover health when combat ends. The mod adds ten mobs, three mini-bosses, a secret boss, and two phase-based major bosses, along with three armor sets, weapons, trinkets, progression items, and about forty blocks that include utility machines and a bridge-and-gate system. Some additions also support practical play: Compulsors pull in entities and items for farms or traps, while the Ancient Guilder can convert a nearby block when given a requested item. The Guidebook and an advancement tree reveal information about creatures, equipment, locations, and progression as players explore and defeat enemies; multiplayer boss scaling is configurable.
Written from Modrinth , CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
Adds:
Counted from the files of the mod. Content made only in its code is not counted.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
