About
Future MC backports selected blocks, items, creatures, and mechanics from later Minecraft releases, bringing features such as the trident and its Loyalty, Channeling, and Impaling enchantments, plus newer building and crafting options, into older game versions. Its blocks include bells, lanterns and chains, barrels, 12 wall variants, wooden trapdoors, looms for customizing banners, and stonecutters and grindstones for processing stone and repairing or disenchanting equipment. Smokers and blast furnaces handle specific smelting recipes at twice a furnace’s speed with more efficient fuel use, while campfires cook up to four foods and release signal smoke, and composters turn items into bone meal. The additions also include cod, salmon, pufferfish, and tropical fish; axe-strippable logs; bamboo and jungle-dwelling pandas; and taiga berry bushes that grow through four stages and yield sweet berries. Bees live in nests or beehives, which can be harvested with bottles or shears, including by dispensers; honey blocks provide a slime-like alternative that does not stick to slime, and honey bottles cure poison. Other additions include flower-based suspicious stew with potion effects, new dyes and flowers such as lily of the valley, wither rose, and cornflower, and the Pigstep music disc. The mod also adds netherite tools and armor that do not burn in lava, along with ancient debris that generates in the Nether and likewise resists burning. Features can be toggled in a configuration file, and CraftTweaker support lets players customize recipes and valid inputs for several machines, including smokers, blast furnaces, campfires, composters, stonecutters, and smithing tables.
