About
Flight Potion adds ways to achieve survival flight through brewable Flight Potions, which grant flight briefly and come in potion variants and tipped arrows, and Wings made by upgrading Elytra with a Wings Upgrade Smithing Template. A Flight Potion is brewed from an Awkward Potion and Magic Powder, while brewing it with a Fermented Spider Eye makes a Potion of Levitation; Magic Powder is crafted from Strange Dust, a Ghast Tear, Redstone, and Glowstone Dust. Wings provide flight while they have durability, can be enchanted, occupy the chest armor slot, and can be repaired with Magic Ingots. To gather the materials, mine Strange Dust Ore, including its Deepslate variant, in the lower levels with a Diamond Pickaxe or better; Strange Dust makes Magic Powder, which can also be smelted into Magic Nuggets and crafted onward into repair ingots. The Wings Upgrade is found in a chest inside a Temple generated in Cherry Groves, with a 50% chance of appearing there; it can be duplicated using a Block of Magic Alloy and eight Diamonds. Magic Nuggets can also be found in Ancient Cities, Flight Potions in End Cities, and the mod adds a new advancement tree plus a trigger for tracking ticks or distance flown during a single survival flight.
