A lightweight tech pack for expert play on mid-range computers.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 228 graded mods, 69 are graded A or B, 41 C and 118 D to F. Its last update came out 3.5 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Fantazy Tech is a technology-focused expert modpack built around progressing through customized recipes and machinery, with the main objective of completing its “Finale!” quest tab and crafting creative items. Its progression combines Immersive Engineering and Mekanism, supported by mods including Immersive Petroleum, Immersive Technology, RFTools, Draconic Evolution and Woot, and includes no magic mods. The pack adds more than a dozen custom machines and custom items, plus Insane, Ludicrous and Nanotech machine tiers beyond Mekanism’s standard tiers. Factory-focused examples include a Supercritical Phase Shifter for producing Antimatter, a Fissile Fuel production setup and Fission Reactor, custom inscribers, and an exclusive production line that processes ores tenfold by combining Immersive Engineering, Mekanism, Tinkers’ Construct and Requious. Custom ores can be mined in the Overworld, Nether and End, with each dimension offering better ores than the previous one; custom Tinkers’ Construct traits and materials further tailor equipment crafting. Woot offers an alternative to lag-prone mob farms, while the pack also supports a void-world option for skyblock play and includes a dedicated machine for generating cobblestone in that mode.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 1 May 2023). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 5 Mar 2023 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 239 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 239 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 3 of the 110 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
129 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
