    About

    ForgedFabric is a developer utility that reimplements selected parts of the Fabric API on Forge, aiming to let Fabric mods be ported with fewer code changes and to support shared code in multiplatform mods. It provides compatibility pieces including mod initializers, client and server lifecycle callbacks, item-tooltip and HUD-render callbacks, player-join events, and keybinding support. Its networking support includes registering global packet receivers, sending packets, creating packet buffers, and finding players who are tracking or near an entity; it also includes command-registration and configuration support. Forge-specific helpers address registry registration and packet handling, while the implementation remains partial and only covers API parts needed by the mods it supports. The project adds no gameplay content and does not make arbitrary Fabric mods work on Forge automatically.
