Show a grid overlay that helps counting when you're building, and optionally spawn locations depending on light level
Finished or replaced projects get no grade: they will not get fixes or new versions.
Grid is a building overlay mod that highlights regularly spaced blocks or lines, helping you place repeated elements accurately without having to count each block by hand. You can set the grid’s origin and horizontal spacing, choose different spacing along each axis, and have its height follow you or stay fixed where you set it. Block mode marks placement spots, while line mode draws borders; examples include spacing powered rails along a railroad, placing lamps beside a road, and marking chunk boundaries. Additional overlays can show possible mob spawn locations, with red marks for places where mobs can spawn at any time and yellow marks for places that are dark enough only at night, or mark blocks in a chosen biome. Grid can also draw circle patterns to guide round builds and hexagonal grids, displaying either target blocks or outlines depending on the selected mode.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 1 area: World renderingChanges 1 game code file in this area: drawing the terrain, sky, clouds and weather..
A library packed inside it changes 1 more game code file: CrowdinTranslate.
Adds 5 key bindings: Fix Grid height to player, Align Grid around player, Change ingame settings, Show/Hide Grid and Show/Hide spawn blocks.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
We read its code without running it: it contacts 1 web address while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs and code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
