Hated Mobs adds creatures that many people find unpleasant, along with ways to encounter, manage, and defend against them. Its creatures include mosquitoes that can enter through doors and glass and disturb sleeping players, friendly silk spiders that produce webs, poisonous giant spiders that can be tamed, aggressive wasps, insect-hunting toads, desert scorpions, territorial red ants, and crop-damaging slugs. The insects and spiders have distinct interactions: mosquitoes and wasps require a swatter to kill, toads prey on both, wasps emerge from world-spawned hives, and ants can raid food stored in nearby chests. Players can protect themselves from mosquitoes with nets, net doors, or anti-mosquito glass, while silk boots prevent webs from slowing them down. Spider nests generate underground with egg sacks, a loot chest, and a guarding giant spider; forests can contain infested trees, and the mod also adds a Spider Forest biome. Silk spiders live in infested leaves, which are needed to keep them, and spider eggs can be used to start or expand a colony there. Domesticated anthills can use red ant queens to protect an area or black ant queens to seek food and seeds, with an interface for collecting their finds. Giant spider fangs can be crafted into a sword that poisons targets, and spider candies let players tame giant spiders. The mod warns that its creatures may trigger phobias and notes that they can be disabled through its configuration in releases that provide that option.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
Adds 16 blocks, 14 items, 25 recipes, 1 advancement and 7 loot tables.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
