Improvable Skills lets players spend experience and Books of Skills to improve their characters through a broad set of upgrades. Skills affect crafting and survival activities as well as combat: Accelerated Furnace speeds smelting, Alchemist speeds brewing, Mining and Digging improve tool speed, and Enchanter lowers the minimum level needed to enchant items. Other upgrades add health and armor, extend tool and armor durability, increase movement speed or jumping, reduce fall, fire, lava, ender-pearl, or PvP damage, and strengthen melee or ranged attacks. The collection also includes Fast Growth, which randomly applies bone meal to nearby plants; Huckster, which lowers villager prices; and Treasure of the Sands and Treasure Finder, which help uncover treasure in sand and valuable resources while mining. Further skills improve experience gains from mining, animal breeding, fishing, and mob kills, attract fish to the hook, reduce vibration range, speed climbing or swimming, and slowly repair held and equipped items. Abilities add practical utilities: Auto XP Bank stores excess experience while keeping a chosen amount of levels on hand, while Blacksmith, Crafter, and portable enchanting menus provide access to familiar anvil, crafting, and enchanting functions. Magnetism can draw nearby items toward the player within a configurable range, and Parchment Fragments can be used to create ability scrolls.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 3 areas: Inventory and itemsChanges 3 game code files in this area: items, chests and other containers, crafting and enchanting., Mobs and their behaviorChanges 2 game code files in this area: mobs, animals, villagers, projectiles and how they move and act. and PlayerChanges 1 game code file in this area: your character: movement, abilities, hunger and controls..
Adds 3 sounds: Connect, Page Turns and Treasure Found.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
We read its code without running it: it contacts 1 web address while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Its files for older Minecraft versions (1.10.2 to 1.11.2) also send crash reports.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
