    About

    jabelar’s Moving Light Sources makes held light-emitting blocks and related dropped items cast real light, using the associated block’s light level so the light affects the world as placed light does, including preventing mob spawning and melting snow. Light sources work in either hand, letting you carry a torch off-hand while using a tool, and include torches, redstone torches, redstone ore, glowstone blocks and dust, lava buckets, beacons, sea lanterns, end rods and jack o’ lanterns. The mod also makes burning entities, including flaming arrows, emit light; as an option, torches can be used to set entities on fire. Light-emitting blocks from other mods can work when their default state emits light, though items without an associated block do not emit light.
