A fantasy modpack where you fight dragons with magic and technology.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 204 graded mods, 67 are graded A or B, 38 C and 99 D to F. Its last update came out 10 months ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
World of Dragons is a kitchen-sink modpack that combines dragon hunting with magic, technology, colony building, and questing. Its central adventure is to subdue dragons from Ice and Fire, using your choice of magical or technological tools, and craft special armor from the carcasses of dragons you defeat. Mine and Slash shapes progression: enemies become stronger as you travel farther from spawn, while defeating foes suited to your level earns gear, spells, and experience for developing your gear, spells, and skills. The pack also includes village questing shopkeepers and village lords with needs to fulfill for rewards, alongside MineColonies for building and managing colonies. Magic options include Electroblob’s Wizardry, Blood Magic, Thaumcraft, and Roots, while technology includes Create Legacy, Tech Reborn, Thermal Expansion, and Refined Storage. Mining has added depth through Divergent Underground: diamonds drop in chunks that need refining, and some ores become tougher to obtain depending on how deeply buried or exposed they are.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 26 Dec 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 12 Jun 2025 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 213 of its 214 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
7 mods send something about you
We read the code of 212 of its 214 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI named in 2 of the 108 mods we checked
We found an AI tool named in them, or their authors declare AI content.
3 other mods show AI use only from after this release (26 Dec 2025), so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
106 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
