A pet bonding and summoning mod. Call your pets from anywhere and dismiss them to keep them safe. A spiritual successor to Callable Horses.

Kindred turns tamed pets and mounts into a companion roster, so bonded animals are stored with the player rather than left in the world and can be called back after logouts, dimension changes, or death. It supports vanilla-owned tameable mobs such as wolves, cats, parrots, horses, donkeys, mules, llamas, camels, foxes, and axolotls, as well as compatible modded mobs; optional settings can limit bonding to mounts or charge experience levels. Players can summon an active companion, dismiss it for safekeeping, and manage bonds in a roster that allows switching pets, renaming and reordering them, and viewing a 3D preview, cooldowns, and resting or limbo status. Nearby pets walk to the player, while distant ones teleport to a safe nearby spot; summoning can also be restricted by obstructed space, dimensions, or biomes. By default, a bonded pet's death makes it dormant until summoned again, with its gear retained; configurable revival cooldowns, loot drops, and a permadeath mode let servers adjust how death works. Server owners can tune bond limits, summon behavior and cooldowns, death rules, and input confirmation, and use datapack tags to allow or block species and restrict summoning in particular dimensions or biomes.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 2 key bindings: Open Companions and Summon Active Pet.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files without running them.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We have not read its code yet
The file checks found no code that connects to the internet.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files and images and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
