    About

    Majo's Spell Enchantment expands Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks with enchantments that change how spells, mana, and casting work. Its effects include greater maximum mana, shorter spell cooldowns, mana restored by kills or damage, and reduced mana costs in water or rain. Other enchantments boost spell power in the Nether, while burning, or at low health; reduce cast time at night or in clear daytime; and grant a speed boost after landing several spells on a mob in quick succession. Combat-focused effects can trigger extra magic missiles when spells deal damage, chain lightning on a kill, or increased Ice and Fire spell damage against burning or freezing targets, consuming some of the corresponding status effect in the process. The collection also adds gear-specific effects: bows can fire Blood Needles or create fire fields with Flame, a staff can become a strong melee weapon, and an enchantment can restore durability as mana is spent. Some enchantments add other twists, including applying Weakness to undead targets hit or healed by Holy spells, occasionally inflicting Glowing and Sunday Fever on spell targets, and playing animal sounds when casting. Enchantment effects such as mana restoration, health thresholds, mana-cost reduction, speed duration, and cooldown reduction can be adjusted in the configuration.
