    About

    Nether Essence adds a craftable Nether-derived resource that provides an alternative way to make gunpowder, using Nether Essence with redstone and coal. The resource can also serve as fuel, smelting four blocks per piece of Nether Essence or 32 blocks per Nether Essence Block. Crafting Nether Essence into blocks provides light: the standard block is waterproof but dimmer than glowstone or torches, while a Radiant Nether Essence Block offers a stronger glow. An Item Restoration Block glows after items have despawned; activating it causes it to vanish after a delay, returning some of those items.
