New Crimson Revelations expands Thaumcraft 6’s Crimson Cult with additional lore, research progression, equipment, creatures, and world content, continuing the original Crimson Revelations while fixing longstanding issues. Most of its content opens through research: scan a cultist and obtain their Crimson Rites book to unlock the Crimson Cult and Crimson Rites research, then begin the addon’s Revelations research category. Cult-related additions include the arrow-firing Crimson Archer, stronger cultist equipment, Crimson Fabric and Plates, and armor sets such as the Archer, Cleric, Knight, and Praetor sets; armor sets added by the mod can be dyed. New weapons and tools include the fire-wielding Axe of Execution, a poison-inflicting Crimson Cult Sword, a Bow of Bone that fires without charging, and the Pickaxe of Warped Distortion, which mines tougher blocks faster and signals its effectiveness with particles. Other equipment adds distinct utility: the Boots of the Comet freeze water underfoot, the Boots of the Meteor create a non-destructive impact when you crash down, the Shovel of the Purifier clears flux goo and taint effects, and the Ring of Nutriment improves food’s hunger restoration and prevents starvation damage. The addon also provides new focus effects, golem materials, infusion enchantments, and scribing tools, including Chameleon for switching stored enchantment sets, Vis Attunement for reducing armor’s vis costs, and rechargeable Knowledge and Sanitation tools. In the Overworld, players can find Eldritch Totems and Hilltop Stones, or Wisp Shrines, which spawn wisps and contain a loot chest; Magical Forests also regain Mana Beans, which can be harvested for pure aspects or eaten for research points and configurable effects. A new Thaumaturge villager offers Thaumcraft items and has a generated tower, while Furious Zombies can spawn on the surface and cultist portals gain visible spawn particles. With Thaumic Augmentation installed, the addon also adds Ancient Crimson, Paladin, and Ranger armor, additional Taint Swarms and Taint Seeds in the Emptiness, and the chance to encounter the Overgrown Taintacle miniboss there. Many additions can be disabled or adjusted through configuration, including select items, effects, and mob behavior.
Written from CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
Adds:
Counted from the files of the mod. Content made only in its code is not counted.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.

Mods that modpacks often add together with New Crimson Revelations. Share: how many of the modpacks with New Crimson Revelations also have that mod.
The newest file for each Minecraft version and loader. None is for a recent Minecraft version. Recent versions: those released in the last 2 years, plus 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, among the most played in modpacks.
In the last 2 years, 7 releases needed a quick fix: a new release within 3 days to fix a problem. This lowers the grade by 7 points.
