    About

    Opposing Force expands Minecraft with distinctive, challenging enemies and related features, with some enemies gated until players first enter the Nether or defeat the Ender Dragon. Its creatures have varied habitats and attacks: Dicers rarely appear on the Overworld surface at night and use claw strikes and a ranged laser, while cave-dwelling Frowzies leap at distant targets and attack with rapid punches. Mobs can spawn in particular biomes, locations, or world-generation features; for example, the Tart can emerge from an Infested Apple Tree, and the Skyvern uses a per-player chance-based spawn that becomes more likely after failed attempts and occurs more often in rain. Most mobs drop materials that can be crafted into tools, items, or decorative blocks, and the mod also adds features such as Emerald Armor obtained from Wandering Traders. Spawn-height requirements for most mobs are configurable, and the Nether and End progression gates can be disabled or adjusted with data packs.
