Spell Sword is a magic-focused modpack built around exploring dungeons and dimensions, defeating bosses, and earning increasingly powerful spells as you progress. Its spellcasting draws on Ars Nouveau, Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks, and Mana and Artifice, with spell tiers to unlock and tools for creating custom spells, so players can develop distinct spell repertoires in multiplayer. Exploration brings dangerous monsters, bosses, dragons, and hostile environments, including poisonous caves and multilayered roguelike dungeons. Players who prefer crafting weapons can use Tinkers' Construct, while Create adds another set of building and automation tools. Combat uses Epic Fight, and Monster Hunter Heaven and Hell gives weapons such as greatswords and hammers distinctive moves, charged attacks, and animations against monsters.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 15 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 12 Oct 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 397 of its 402 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
12 mods send something about you
We read the code of 394 of its 399 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 19 of the 306 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
93 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
