Start with flint and fiber to craft primitive tools and survive.

Primitive Tools reshapes Minecraft’s early survival progression with a set of primitive materials, tools, and crafting mechanics intended to sit between realism and vanilla simplicity. Players begin by gathering flint from gravel or sand, fiber from plants such as tall grass and ferns, and ordinary sticks; flint must then be knapped on a hard surface before it can be used. The mod removes access to vanilla wooden and stone tool recipes, and tool durability depends on the quality of the parts used, with progression from stick-and-fiber bindings toward bone and leather bindings. Knives are central to the progression: they serve as fast weapons that deal critical damage to animals and as crafting tools for making string from wool, sticks from saplings, cordage from vines, and strips from leather, as well as breaking plants and other soft blocks. A wooden club offers protection through strong knockback despite its low damage and slow speed, while the spear is a stackable ranged hunting weapon that functions like a bow. The rock hammer currently works like a pick and uses igneous rock, while the hatchet, hoe, pick, and spade have familiar vanilla functions with stats between wooden and stone tools. Primitive tools cannot be enchanted, and using them on the wrong material incurs a substantial speed penalty; arrows also require a flint point rather than a piece of flint. When Leather Works is installed, the mod can use its leather-strip item, and knives can also scrape bark and clean hides.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
Adds 60 items and 83 recipes.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Replaces 1 of vanilla Minecraft's item textures.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.12.2.
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its description, files and images and found none.
We have not read its changelogs and code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
