Shippy Ships adds immersive ships to the game to explore your world!

Shippy Ships adds functional sailing vessels for exploring rivers, coasts, and oceans, built through a staged shipyard process that requires supplying materials at each step. Its four ship types suit different journeys: the light sailboat handles shallow water, the storage-rich cog trades speed for durability, the caravel is built for fast ocean travel, and the capacious galleon can carry cargo or serve as a warship. Sails open and close continuously, and their deployment controls acceleration and speed; ships roll when turning, sway more in rough weather, and show rudder movement as they are steered. Crew members, including villagers, affect handling, acceleration, and sail deployment, while each vessel has crew requirements that shape how efficiently it operates. The wood used to build a ship also changes its handling: hardwoods such as mangrove and dark oak make vessels tougher but bulkier, while softwoods such as spruce and bamboo favor speed and responsiveness at the expense of durability. Ships have onboard storage and take progressive damage rather than breaking like ordinary boats; damage makes them tilt and slow, and a sunken vessel leaves its stored items recoverable in the wreck. Thunderstorms in deep water can damage ships, while the caravel and galleon are described as resistant to storm damage; vessels can be repaired with planks. Players can customize sails with dyes and craftable patterns, and the OldCannons integration adds ship-mounted cannons for naval combat. Ships can also ram targets, with damage determined by ship type and relative speed and distributed according to the vessels' relative size.

No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign so far that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
We have not read its code history yet.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
