Lets resource packs replace Sodium's shaders with their own.
Finished or replaced projects get no grade: they will not get fixes or new versions.
Sodium Core Shader Support lets compatible resource packs replace Sodium’s own shaders, much as resource packs can replace Minecraft’s vanilla core shaders. It provides a way for pack authors to target Sodium’s distinct block and cloud shaders rather than simply copying vanilla shaders, with block shading covering blocks and block entities and separate shader files for clouds. For block shaders, the mod exposes defines for solid, cutout and translucent terrain passes, plus game-time and sun-angle uniforms that authors can use to tailor effects to terrain type and environmental time. Pack authors can declare supported Minecraft and Sodium versions in a versions.json file, and can use its settings to disable frustum or backface culling for effects that need offscreen geometry. Shaders can also import shared GLSL files from the vanilla shader assets, allowing pack authors to keep common shader logic usable across vanilla and Sodium. Players activate a compatible pack like any other resource pack; examples documented by the project include Energy Shaders, Night Vision Shaders and Re-Shaded. The mod is no longer receiving updates, and newer Sodium versions provide shader replacement support without it.
Written from Modrinth , CurseForge and the GitHub README . How we write it
Changes the game's code in 2 areas: Rendering and graphicsChanges 1 game code file in this area: drawing mobs, items, particles and textures on screen. and User interfaceChanges 1 game code file in this area: menus, screens, tooltips, the chat window and the in-game overlay..
Adds no new blocks, items or other content.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends
We read its code without running it: it contacts no web address while you play.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
