About
Tainted Magic is a Thaumcraft 4 add-on that develops the darker side of Thaumaturgy, offering new equipment and abilities that give players further goals from early play through the endgame. Its additions include craftable Crimson Cult armor and the Crimson Blade, with armor durability restored using a Phial of Voidsent Blood, as well as Boots of the Voidwalker for faster travel and exploration. Players can also craft two upgraded Thaumium Fortress Armor sets, use the Thaumic Disassembler and Edge of the Primordials for mining and combat, or spend Vis to fly in survival with the Flyte Charm. The add-on further supplies high-capacity, self-regenerating wands, a speed-boosting Voidwalker's Sash, and three customizable fortress katanas whose charged hits can deal substantial damage. Its wand foci provide utility and area effects, including changing the time or weather and unleashing a shockwave that pushes nearby entities away.
