A long-running adventure with magic, technology, and plenty of quests.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 224 graded mods, 42 are graded A or B, 23 C and 159 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.7.10. See the mods
AMP Awakening Classic is a long-term magic-and-technology modpack built around more than 280 mods and 800 quests, with extensive configuration and recipe changes intended to make its mods work together as a connected progression. Its quest-led progression encourages players to pursue both magic and technology, often combining items from different mods to craft equipment and unlock further content. The world generation reshapes biomes drawn from Vanilla, Biomes O’ Plenty, Thaumcraft and Highlands, with smaller biome regions, custom tree placement, broad rivers and streams, varied underground cave and stone types, and occasional floating mountains. Mining is expanded with 65 overworld, 27 Nether and 4 End mineable resources, including ores and gems; more difficult ores become rarer, while deeper areas offer richer deposits alongside more dangerous mobs. Exploration includes custom dungeons in the Overworld and Nether, custom chest loot and mob drops, and hidden mini-bosses; mobs appear more often and become more dangerous at depth, while the pack aims for challenge without constant high-powered threats. Building and survival also have extra texture: varied stone and wood, Chisel and Ztones blocks, and decoration options sit alongside a more involved food system with HarvestCraft recipes and animals that can be bred to improve their domestication and drops.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.7.10 · Forge, 14 Aug 2020). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
16 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 3 Jun 2020 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 228 of its 229 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
6 mods send something about you
We read the code of 226 of its 229 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI use from before this release (14 Aug 2020) in the 70 mods we checked.
3 mods show AI use only from after it, so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
159 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
