    About

    The Printer adds a machine for duplicating items by spending player experience and waiting for the print to finish. Place an item in an empty printer and sneak to deposit XP; once the XP bar is full, a translucent copy appears above the machine and gradually becomes solid enough to collect. Printed stacks preserve the input’s details, including enchantments and custom names, while the XP cost and printing time vary with the item type, rarity, and NBT contents. The printer can collect nearby lingering XP orbs, and hoppers can remove its finished items. Data-driven Printer Rules let datapacks adjust XP costs, allowed stack sizes, and whether particular items can be printed, with examples such as disabling log duplication or setting custom costs for potatoes. An optional set of built-in rules is designed for vanilla gameplay, and a gamerule can control whether printers are enabled by default.
