The Slumbering Omen is a horror-fantasy exploration mod built around hostile entities, new mobs, items, dimensions, and a story campaign. Its central creature, the Omen, is a tall, distorted lost soul that may stalk and watch players, toy with crops, animals, or torches, and sometimes rest rather than attack; when it hunts, it can use magic, a piercing screech, and other attacks, and its feet and lower legs are its weak point. The mod’s encounters also include pursuit sequences with custom music and visual cues, as well as jumpscares that briefly freeze the player until they press Escape. The story begins with a quest to defeat or befriend the Omen, using four torn-photo pieces gathered through different encounters to unlock a resolution that can turn it friendly; a crafted vortex can reset the quest and restore its hostile behavior. The campaign continues into a second chapter involving Tiso, Daraku, and the snow-biome adversary Glykaris, with quests that lead through the Resting Grounds and into further confrontations and purification tasks. A Daraku side quest opens a route into the Abyss, where players face the Vantablack Reaper and can earn void weapons and armor. Beyond the main story, the world includes the Distortion and its biomes, the Resting Grounds, and the Abyss, along with roaming scouts, void disciples, and creatures such as void rays and Behboulders. Other additions include the blizzard event and its Snowfallen boss, the mage class with mana-based combat, weapons and armor, and crops such as gloomberries, nyctopods, and gloomshrooms. A guidebook and bestiary document creatures, and a configuration file lets players adjust mod settings.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.19.2.
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 286 blocks, 836 items, 414 entities, 9 biomes, 4 dimensions, 4 enchantments, 391 recipes, 9 advancements, 16 loot tables, 249 sounds and 3 key bindings.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.19.2.
We checked its files without running them.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We have not read its code yet
It has no file for a recent Minecraft version. This is about its files for Minecraft 1.19.2.
The file checks found no code that connects to the internet.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images and sounds and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
