About
The Veggie Way adds a vanilla-friendly way to make nutritious food without relying on hunting, breeding, or killing animals; its recipes use a standard crafting table rather than special machines. Players can rake dirt and grass for seeds, then grow red quinoa, corn, lentils, and soybeans alongside familiar crops to gather ingredients for protein, vitamin, fructose, wheatgerm, caffeine, and carbohydrate powders. Those ingredients can be made into energy drinks and bars, superfood shakes and bars, and a vegan smoothie, with hunger and saturation values adjustable in the configuration. Other foods include fried eggs, tofu, flour and dough, egg-free apple, melon, sweet berry, and cactus berry pies, chocolate bars, soups, and fruit or vegetable chunks. The mod also adds cotton plants that can be turned into string and wool, bamboo-based vanilla leather, and a way to light torches using sticks and a campfire.
