Engineer's Life 2 is a technology-focused modpack built around Immersive Engineering, guiding players from gathering flint for a first pickaxe toward complex machinery and factory building. Its quest-guided progression includes explanations and rewards, with a written guide for newcomers; progression is organized for clarity rather than locked behind fixed stages, so players can craft and advance when they have the resources. Industrial projects include waterwheels, windmills, excavators, diesel generators, pumpjacks, multiblock blast furnaces, conveyor belts and hanging powerlines, alongside customized recipes and a handheld mining drill. Exploration complements the technology focus, with underground roguelike dungeons, overhauled mineshafts, underground mob spawners, varied terrain and hidden structures to discover. The pack also expands farming and food with new crops, trees and plants, seasonal changes, a rich food-crafting system, and productive bees that can provide resources such as coal and steel. For building and storage, it offers materials including limestone, slate, jasper and colored wood; furniture, immersive lighting, windows and doors; button-operated elevators; and options ranging from storage drawers and larger chests to connected or digital storage. Tetra adds modular tools, while quests cover practical topics such as storage and nuclear power.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.16.5 · Forge, 26 Dec 2023). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 12 Aug 2022 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 207 of its 209 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of 207 of its 209 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 16 of the 146 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
63 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
