    About

    Unearthed Journey brings the Cenozoic Era into Minecraft through three prehistoric dimensions, with realistic formations that function as biomes and depict the plants, animals, and structures of their prehistoric counterparts. Across those dimensions, it adds more than 30 detailed animals, four woodsets, two new ores, and a challenging boss encounter. Progression into the past begins with finding the Temple to Methuselah, fighting its dangerous chambers and the boss Methuselah, then using the boss’s eye to activate Forgotten Portals with the correct portal corners and archstone pillars. The dimensions also offer practical resources: peat can be dried into a strong furnace fuel, lead blocks are blast-proof, and manganese steel provides cold-protective armor, an inventory satchel, and a tool for mining obsidian and archstone. Animals have interactive uses too: pouches can tame or breed some herbivores, while a tamed Leptictidium can be sent digging for a mix of useful and useless items.
