Prehistoric World is a modpack about building your own dinosaur park by reviving extinct prehistoric life and creating habitats where its inhabitants can thrive. To bring dinosaurs and prehistoric plants back, you search for fossils, extract DNA, and use machinery, with quests providing a step-by-step guide. The world begins after most dinosaurs have gone extinct, but some still roam, including dangerous creatures in the oceans; exploration also brings new biomes, dungeons, enemies, and animals. Its content includes dinosaurs, fossils, and prehistoric items from Unusual Prehistory, alongside Age of Weapons, Medieval Deco, Medieval Music, and Medieval Craft for a historical setting, and mythological foes from Ice and Fire. You can shape and decorate the park yourself, while considering that each dinosaur has a preferred habitat.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 19 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 8 Oct 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 266 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
37 mod files are inside the pack file itself: 34 match a known file, 2 do not (lionfishapi-2.4-Fix.jar and seafarer-1.0.4.jar), 1 not read yet.
8 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 258 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 22 of the 258 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
