About
Villagers Reborn replaces villagers and illagers with human character models while preserving villagers’ familiar jobs, trades, and behavior, and also gives witches and the wandering trader human models. Villagers have names and personalities, and players can talk with them through a dialogue system, build relationships, date, marry, and raise a family with them. Players can direct villagers to follow, stay, or live at a set home, manage their inventory and equipment, and receive gifts based on their relationship level. Equipped villagers can use bows or crossbows when they have arrows and raise a shield held in their off hand; inventory and equipment screens also provide combat-mode options. The mod adds modern and medieval skin choices, supports custom skins, and includes villager editing and family-tree screens. Villagers who meet certain relationship or family conditions can leave a grave when they die, and a Soul Gem can be used to resurrect them; the Ledger Book provides tools to locate villagers and teleport between them and the player or their homes. It works in existing worlds and supports modded villages, towns, trades, and professions, as well as single-player, LAN, and dedicated multiplayer worlds.
