Try to survive as the world gets infested slowly by a virus.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 300 graded mods, 216 are graded A or B, 72 C and 12 D to F. Its last update came out 8 days ago, for Minecraft 1.21.1. See the mods
Protocol Zero: A Modern Zombie Apocalypse is a survival modpack set in a decaying world where players explore for a cure as civilization struggles against a spreading infection. Its quest system and lore tie together the pack’s core mods, with quests offering intel and guidance for finding important structures. The infection advances over time, with the Spore/Spore Inqui and Phayriosis versions reaching peak difficulty on different timelines. Zombies can hear and smell players, track blood scent, dig through blocks, and climb, while periodic hordes and other raids or events add further threats. Survival also depends on managing food, nutrition, and thirst while exploring ruined cities, decayed houses, villager outposts, and overhauled biomes where structures are deliberately less frequent. The pack includes firearms and vehicle combat, with weapons able to unload ammunition and modular turrets supporting bullets, grenades, and rockets.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 16 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 16 Oct 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 275 of its 300 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
8 mods send something about you
We read the code of 265 of its 287 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 17 of the 232 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
55 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
