About
Warriors of Past Epoch expands mid-game equipment and combat with themed armor sets, weapons, resources, items, mobs, and structures, with each equipment theme offering its own characteristics and fighting style. Its Musketeer gear supports ranged and melee fighting: a full set speeds up musket and pistol reloads and strengthens the rapier’s third-hit piercing strike, while the musket and pistol trade damage and range for different reload speeds. The Plague Doctor set is built around disease-based combat, granting protection from plague and disease effects while extending plague-serum effects and enhancing the Surgical Saw; its Rough Wound effect amplifies diseases, and Bleeding deals damage over time. Brewing lets players prepare serums that spread distinct ailments, including Decay, which strips protective effects, Pestilence, which interferes with healing, Bacterial Splash, which bursts outward and infects nearby creatures, and Black Death, a persistent, widely spreading plague. The mod also adds Forgotten Steel ore and other crafting materials, along with Cistus for making anti-plague serum and Batwings for food or brewing Morbidity Concentrate. New creatures include hostile Skeleton Musketeers, who fire powerful shots but must reload, and neutral scavenger rats that can be tamed with Rotten Flesh or Moldy Cheese; tamed rats help in combat and can spread disease through their attacks. Themed world structures include the loot-filled Musketeer Fort, where explosive barrels and armed skeletons make exploration dangerous, and randomly arranged Plague Villages in taiga biomes, with abandoned buildings, leftover resources, rats, and occasional zombie villagers.
