Survive the open ocean, explore underwater ruins, and battle sea creatures.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 439 graded mods, 334 are graded A or B, 88 C and 17 D to F. Its last update came out 9 days ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Beyond Ocean is an ocean-focused survival modpack built around gathering resources, crafting equipment, building floating bases or custom ships, and exploring a dangerous open sea. Its custom world generation includes the Deep Waters, a flooded dimension of deep oceans, hidden biomes, aquatic life, and underwater structures, as well as Aquatica, an experimental deep-sea dimension with abyssal plains, hydrothermal valleys, strange lifeforms, and extreme survival conditions. The pack adds a broad range of aquatic content, including more than 250 fish to catch, alongside challenging mobs, over 20 bosses, and hundreds of new mobs and structures. Combat and progression feature enhanced gear, parrying with shields, custom recipes, quests, and revamped vanilla structures, bosses, and other features; the Nether and End are also overhauled. Multiplayer features include FTB Teams and quests for cooperative adventures, with optional controller and VR support.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 15 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 11 Oct 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 430 of its 440 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
11 mods send something about you
We read the code of 392 of its 401 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 27 of the 341 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
60 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
