A modpack that helps your game run smoothly with detailed textures.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 30 graded mods, 30 are graded A or B, 0 C and none D to F. Its last update came out 13 days ago, for Minecraft 26.3. See the mods
Better Optimization is a performance-focused modpack intended to improve frame rates and reduce server tick time (MSPT), particularly when playing with high-resolution texture packs. It is designed for packs from 512× and above, including 1024× and 2048× textures, and emphasizes testing and stable, open-source mods. The pack supports Wayland and Linux natively and is aimed at a range of workstation and datacenter systems. It includes a list of mod IDs so users can update the mods manually.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 26.3 · Fabric, 11 Oct 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 30 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 30 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 2 of the 30 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
