Colonial Expansion is a survival and city-building modpack about establishing and growing a colony in a harsh world with limited technology. MineColonies and Structurize let you assign jobs, construct buildings, and manage your settlement’s population as you expand your town. Exploration ranges across worlds enriched by Biomes O’ Plenty, Mystical World, and Natura, with Nature’s Compass helping you find biomes. For crafting and production, Tinkers’ Construct, Embers, Charcoal Pit, and Infernal Machinery support deeper tools and industrial chains, while Colossal Chests, Storage Drawers, Simple Storage Network, and Chest Transporter provide storage and logistics options. Expeditions bring added danger and rewards through Roguelike Dungeons, Rough Mobs, and ToroQuest, alongside distinctive crafting challenges. The pack also includes practical exploration and quality-of-life tools such as JourneyMap, AppleSkin, Inventory Tweaks, and Dynamic Surroundings.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 13 Jul 2025). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
2 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 8 Dec 2020 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 84 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
4 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 84 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 5 of the 44 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
40 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
