    About

    ModularUI is a library that helps Minecraft mod developers build vanilla-style interfaces without manually calculating widget positions or creating GUI texture sheets. Developers assemble interfaces from window-like panels and a tree of dynamically rendered widgets, with automatic handling of widget rendering and interactions and layout components such as rows, columns, grids, and lists. Built-in elements include buttons, text fields, sliders, scroll views, item slots, and fluid slots; scrolling supports smooth animation, and number fields can parse mathematical expressions. The library also provides viewport transformations, color and stencil APIs, and panel opening and closing animations, while allowing multiple draggable panels to behave like windows. Interfaces can be client-only or synchronized between client and server, with ModularUI handling value syncing for uses such as block entity interfaces and fluid tanks. JSON-based themes can be added or edited through resource packs, and recipe-viewer integrations support features such as exclusion zones and ghost ingredients. Showcase examples include a color-picker panel, sortable lists and grids, wrapping flow layouts, rich text with clickable or tooltip-bearing inline elements, a function graph, dropdowns, and a chest interface with inventory-tweaking compatibility.
