Another Zombie Apocalypse modpack, filled with guns and action.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 79 graded mods, 63 are graded A or B, 12 C and 4 D to F. Its last update came out 5 weeks ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
This author published several projects at once on Modrinth: up to 8 projects published within 2 weeks. 8 of the author's 27 projects have only one release and no source code link. A series of small add-ons is often published this way. It does not change the grade.
Guns and Zombies is a zombie-survival modpack built around fighting large numbers of zombies with firearms, including shotguns and machine guns. Villagers can fight alongside you, so you need to avoid hitting them while battling the undead. The terrain is altered but keeps a vanilla Minecraft style, with no new biomes to explore. Gunplay includes smooth reloading, and the pack’s documented additions include Tacz Turrets, A.V.A., weapon attachments and tactical equipment, alongside mods such as Daffa’s Arsenal, Chamber Clarity, Shots Fired, ZeroContact, TaCZ Tweaks, TACtical Movement and Camera Overhaul.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 21 Sep 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
1 file not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 14 Aug 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the projects yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 82 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 79 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 1 of the 79 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in it, or its author declared AI content.
1 other mod shows AI use only from after this release (21 Sep 2026), so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
