A modpack focusing on the Betweenlands, without access to the overworld.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 74 graded mods, 27 are graded A or B, 14 C and 33 D to F. Its last update came out 3.7 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Into The Betweenlands is a lightweight modpack built around The Betweenlands dimension: you begin there and remain there, with no access to the Overworld. Most vanilla items are disabled, while the items that remain and additions from other mods have recipes and textures adjusted to fit the Betweenlands setting. On death, you keep your hotbar, equipped Lurker Pouch, armor, and off-hand item; the rest of your inventory is placed in a grave. Quality-of-life additions include Ore Excavate for ores and smaller trees, Wall-Jump, and Find-Me, while decorative mods support building in the swampy world. The pack also includes performance mods and retextured building blocks, including Macaw's Bridges.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 17 Feb 2023). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 31 Dec 2022 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 74 of its 75 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
2 mods send something about you
We read the code of 74 of its 75 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 4 of the 36 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
39 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
