A hardcore cave adventure that takes you deep beneath the world.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 71 graded mods, 15 are graded A or B, 12 C and 44 D to F. Its newest release is for Minecraft 1.7.10. See the mods
Journey to the Core is a hardcore quest challenge modpack inspired by Journey to the Center of the Earth, casting the player as an explorer trying to survive a dangerous expedition through the Icelandic volcano Snaefellsjokull. The journey begins in a small cave in the Overworld, then descends dimension by dimension toward the planet’s core in search of rumored treasures. Expect a dark, hazardous cave environment where enemies are smarter and physics are presented as more realistic, making survival and setting up camp part of the challenge.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.7.10 · Forge, 11 Dec 2021). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
6 files not listed: no matching project found.
Compared with the release of 17 Apr 2020 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 75 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
2 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 75 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make its mods
We found no AI tool in the 30 mods we checked, and no AI content is declared for them on Modrinth.
45 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
