Chance Cubes adds mystical blocks that players can find in the world or craft with lapis, then break to trigger unpredictable rewards that range from helpful items and house-building effects to zombie hordes and death traps. Each cube has a random chance value, which can be revealed with a Chance Cube Scanner and adjusted through pendants that modify its value as it is broken. The mod also includes special variants such as the Chance Icosahedron and a Giant Chance Cube assembled from 27 regular cubes. For pack makers and creators, JSON-based custom rewards can trigger effects such as spawning entities or items, placing blocks or schematics, granting experience or status effects, and sending messages, sounds, or commands. Reward profiles let users enable or disable rewards and adjust them to fit a modpack or preferred play style.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
Does not change the game's code directly.
Adds 5 blocks, 8 items, 6 recipes, 7 advancements and 2 sounds.
Counted from the names and data files in the mod, so the list may not be complete.
Keeps all of vanilla Minecraft's textures, models and sounds.
No harmful code found
We checked its files and read their code, without running it.
Why we show this: a mod runs on your computer like any program, so harmful code in it can take your accounts or files. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: malware means no grade, and a Warning in a latest file for a recent Minecraft version lowers it.
We found nothing it sends about you
We read its code without running it: it contacts 3 web addresses while you play.
Like any connection, each address it contacts sees your IP address.
Its files for older Minecraft versions (1.11 to 1.12.1) also send unknown data and your player name.
Why we show this: a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
No sign that AI was used to make it
We looked for AI tools in its texts, files, images, sounds and code history and found none.
No sign of AI in the game
We found no AI service, AI library or AI model file in its code.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
