MasterTech: Hollow Beginning is a hardcore techno-magic RPG modpack that takes players from primitive technology toward complex magical and industrial machinery, with more than 1,500 modified recipes connecting its content. The adventure begins in the Nether and spans more than 50 worlds, including the Betweenlands, blending exploration, survival, space, magic, and industry. Ordinary mobs can break and place blocks and search chests, so players must build turrets and find other ways to defend themselves while facing dozens of bosses. More than 1,000 detailed quests guide progression through the modpack toward advanced tools, armor, and machinery.
Written from Modrinth and CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 26 Jun 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 27 Feb 2024 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
A Warning in the files in the pack itself
We checked all 44 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
A Warning is not proof of malware.

Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
essential/Essential (forge_1.12.2).processed.jar. Reads the login data of other programs.Warning: essential/Essential (forge_1.12.2).jar1 mod sends something about you
We read the code of all 44 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 1 of the 44 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in it, or its author declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its description and found none.
We have not read its changelogs, files, images and code history yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
