Build production lines in rooms to make colorful materials.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 64 graded mods, 57 are graded A or B, 6 C and 1 D to F. Its last update came out 5 months ago, for Minecraft 1.21.1. See the mods
Matrix of Materia is a short automation modpack with custom progression, built around processing basic materials into different colors of Materia, with a small amount of content from Actually Additions. Roomopolis limits building space: each of the six chapters gives you a new room intended to hold that chapter’s automation line, with little overlap between chapters, so optimizing your layouts and minimizing room use are part of the challenge. The opening chapter introduces basic automation with White, Red, and Gray Materia and their basic components, establishing production lines that you can refine and reuse throughout the pack. The second chapter focuses on fluids, automating Orange, Brown, and Blue Materia through fluid-processing lines that include making Crystallized Oil. The third chapter has you drill Black Materia from an atomically reconstructed Materia Deposit, then distill and chemically react Liquid Black Materia to produce Light Blue, Light Gray, and Yellow Materia. That chapter also unlocks Curvy Pipes item and fluid pipes for more elaborate transport setups. In the fourth chapter, alchemical methods let you automate crystal growth and transmute between six crystal colors, as you produce Purple, Magenta, and Pink Materia. The fifth chapter introduces fission reactors: Cyan Materia helps make radiation-protected reactor parts, while reactors produce Green and Lime Materia, and their breakable components make automated repairs necessary. The final chapter combines every previously automated Materia type into Rainbow Materia and unlocks additional processes that give you reason to revisit and optimize earlier setups. If you run short on building space, this final chapter also offers additional room keys as an expensive fallback.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge, 26 May 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 13 May 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 63 of its 64 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 7 of the 54 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
8 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
