An optimization modpack with all OptiFine experience but in Sodium.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 33 graded mods, 33 are graded A or B, 0 C and none D to F. Its last update came out 4 days ago, for Minecraft 26.3. See the mods
OptiFPS is an optimization-focused modpack that aims to deliver OptiFine-like features and visual enhancements using Sodium rather than relying on OptiFine. It combines Sodium with performance mods including Lithium, FerriteCore, and Starlight to improve performance and provide smoother FPS on both lower- and higher-end computers. For visuals, the pack supports shaders through Iris and includes custom skies, better grass, and dynamic lighting. It also emphasizes privacy by avoiding telemetry and aims to keep gameplay free of unnecessary additions.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 26.2 · Fabric, 1 Jul 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 32 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 30 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 2 of the 30 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
