A skyblock adventure with primitive crafting, automation, and space exploration.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 81 graded mods, 31 are graded A or B, 19 C and 31 D to F. Its last update came out 7.8 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Primal Skies is a skyblock modpack built around PrimalCore, with an alternate early-game approach to gathering materials, food, and resources that avoids the usual need to sift for or explode materials. Progression moves from primitive resource gathering into automated collection and improved refining, then opens up planetary exploration through Galacticraft. The pack’s progression draws on PrimalCore, Better With Mods, Botania, and Kitsu’s Forgecraft, while Foundry introduces technology and Rockhounding Mod: Chemistry lets players create ores and alloys. Silent’s Gems supports protection and weapon-making, and Chisel, Blockcraftery, and Chisels & Bits provide blocks and tools for designing and decorating an island. A Better Questing guide helps orient players, with opening goals that include obtaining flint, magically obtaining a spruce sapling, and crafting a Flint Work Blade.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 31 Dec 2018). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 25 Nov 2018 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the mods we checked
We checked 82 of its 84 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of 82 of its 84 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 5 of the 44 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
40 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
