Crafting recipes are randomized, so making gear takes unexpected paths.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 61 graded mods, 23 are graded A or B, 12 C and 26 D to F. Its last update came out 5.5 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Random Access Minecraft is a modpack built around a deliberately unfamiliar, challenging take on Minecraft, with randomized crafting recipes replacing the usual recipes and making gear harder to obtain. Its mod selection mixes less familiar content from Advent of Ascension, Mahou Tsukai, and Minestuck with Thermal Expansion and Mekanism as more familiar options. Wall-jumping, bunny-hopping, and double-jumping add advanced movement, while reduced inventory space makes carrying items more constrained. The pack includes a preconfigured recipe set, and players can generate a different set for their own use; multiplayer servers need to share the same recipe scripts with clients.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 21 Apr 2021). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 15 Feb 2020 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its mods
We checked all 63 mods and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
5 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 63 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 5 of the 36 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in them, or their authors declared AI content.
27 mods are not checked yet.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
