A smoother-looking vanilla game with better performance and livelier animations.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 30 graded mods, 29 are graded A or B, 1 C and none D to F. Its last update came out 6 months ago, for Minecraft 26.1.2. See the mods
Shulkercraft's Essentially Enhanced is a client-side modpack that aims to improve Minecraft performance while adding visual refinements, without changing the game's content. Its visual additions include animated mobs and 3D player skin layers, plus 3D models for rails, doors, crops, saplings, amethyst, lanterns, chains and hoppers. It also adds connected textures, dynamic lighting, zoom, and Optifine-style video settings, alongside details such as bubbles and a low-fire view that helps keep the screen clear while burning. Built on the performance-focused Essentially Optimized foundation, the pack balances these visual features with optimization and is described as running several times faster than vanilla in testing. Because it is client-side and does not add content-altering mods, it can be used with vanilla worlds and servers that allow vanilla clients.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 26.1.2 · Fabric, 3 May 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 30 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of all 22 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 1 of the 22 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in it, or its author declared AI content.
2 other mods show AI use only from after this release (3 May 2026), so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its texts and found none.
We have not read its files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
