A survival pack with realistic crafting, farming, and technology progression.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 123 graded mods, 83 are graded A or B, 31 C and 9 D to F. Its last update came out 7 weeks ago, for Minecraft 1.20.1. See the mods
Terra Firma Far Horizons is a TerraFirmaCraft-centered modpack built to make survival more realistic and take players through a progression from the Stone Age to the Electrical Age. Its early survival involves handcrafting stone tools and clay vessels, calculating alloy proportions and forging metal tools, as well as ore washing and saltpeter production. Farming calls for attention to climate, while mining carries the risk of cave-ins. The technology progression includes manual workshops and factories, with Immersive Engineering content covering ore extraction, smelting, and petrochemicals. Agriculture and cooking are expanded through the Farmer's Delight and Let's Do mod families and Croptopia, with compatibility for hundreds of foods made using TerraFirmaCraft ingredients. A Patchouli book, Engineer's Manual, and quest line guide players through TerraFirmaCraft, Immersive Engineering, and oil-processing progression, including illustrated examples for complex machines; Ponder provides recipes and usage information for custom machines. Survival also brings wolf raids at the end of the month and black bear attacks in late autumn, while alternatives include making fire clay from materials such as bauxite, using coke or petroleum coke in steelmaking, and lighting with kerosene lamps.
Written from CurseForge . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.20.1 · Forge, 6 Sep 2026). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 3 Sep 2026 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in the projects we checked
We checked 121 of its 126 projects, without running them.
We have not checked the files in the pack itself yet (settings, scripts).
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
3 mods send something about you
We read the code of 120 of its 125 mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI named in 4 of the 104 mods we checked
We found an AI tool named in them, or their authors declare AI content.
6 other mods show AI use only from after this release (6 Sep 2026), so it does not apply to the versions in this pack.
21 mods are not checked yet.
Made with AI: not checked yet
We have not looked for AI tools in the pack itself yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
