    About

    Xaero’s Minimap adds a configurable, vanilla-styled map of nearby terrain to the screen, helping players navigate and keep track of locations they have visited. The map can be square or circular, rotated with the player or locked north, and adjusted in size, zoom, position, color mode, and terrain shading. It shows surrounding blocks above ground and can switch automatically to cave mapping underground or inside buildings. An entity radar can mark players, mobs, dropped items, arrows, item frames, and other entities as colored dots or icons, with options for names and display settings. Players can place waypoints that appear on both the minimap and in the world, organize them into sets, share them in chat, and use automatic death markers; waypoint teleportation is available when the server allows it. Additional overlays can show chunk boundaries, slime chunks, custom light levels, and chunk claims and allied players from Open Parties and Claims. The minimap can also display coordinates and, when enabled, the current biome, light level, game time, and camera angles. A fair-play edition omits entity radar and cave maps for servers or players seeking a more limited minimap. When paired with Xaero’s World Map, the minimap can use its generated map textures, and server administrators can configure and enforce player access to features such as cave mapping and entity radar.
