Survive the frozen world while fighting off hungry zombies.
Modpacks get no grade of their own, so we show the grades of its mods. Of its 12 graded mods, 6 are graded A or B, 6 C and none D to F. Its last update came out 2.5 years ago, for Minecraft 1.12.2. See the mods
Winter Zombies is a survival modpack set after the Mustard Virus has devastated humanity, where you must contend with both infected and severe winter conditions. The infected are drawn to light, sound, and players, and remain active in sunlight, so threats can follow you through corridors, rooftops, and residential areas. Cold-weather additions include Eternal Winter, Serene Seasons, Snow Variants, and Tough As Nails, while Bloodmoon and Zombie Awareness further shape the dangers of surviving among the infected. The pack also includes weapons and defenses such as Spartan Weaponry, Weapons of the Apocalypse, and Spartan Shields, alongside building and furnishing options from Macaw's Doors, Fences and Walls, Furniture, and Windows, and MrCrayfish's Furniture Mod. Tissou's Zombie Pack and Complementary Shaders are listed as visual options for changing the look of the game.
Written from Modrinth . How we write it
The mods of its newest release (Minecraft 1.12.2 · Forge, 11 May 2024). Each check result is for the latest files of that mod, which may not be the version in this pack.
Compared with the release of 18 Mar 2024 for the same platform, Minecraft version and loader. Same mods in both. We do not compare the versions of the mods yet.
No harmful code found in its projects
We checked all 12 projects and the files in the pack itself, without running them.
Why we show this: a modpack installs the files of its mods, and each mod runs on your computer like any program. Our checks look for known signs of harm. They cannot prove that a file is harmless. In the grade: a modpack has no grade of its own, and each mod's result counts in that mod's grade.
Its mods send nothing about you
We read the code of all 10 of its mods, without running it.
Why we show this: a modpack runs the code of its mods, and a mod can send things about you over the internet, like your player name or your login. Contacting an address to check for updates or download files sends nothing about you. Not in the grade: sending data can be normal for what a mod does.
AI used in 1 of the 10 mods we checked
We found an AI tool in it, or its author declared AI content.
No sign so far that AI was used to make the pack itself
We looked for AI tools in its description and found none.
We have not read its changelogs, files and images yet.
Why we show this: some players and servers avoid projects made with AI, and AI in the game can send what you write to an online service. Not in the grade: using AI does not tell whether a project works well or is kept up to date.
